(A) St. Sharbel of Lebanon, Saint of Wonders: An Illustrated Book - Arabic

Regular price $25.00

In his many miraculous apparitions to people who had not known him before, he introduced himself this way: “I am Saint Sharbel from Lebanon.” This saint lived in his hermitage, in silence and meditation, with the Incarnate Christ, honoring his mother, the Virgin Mary. He tirelessly brought down the heavenly graces of spiritual and physical healing to the weary and suffering people of all nationalities, religions, and races. His picture or his shrine is found in places as far as a shop in a remote Polish town, a restaurant in New Delhi in India, a church in Nigeria, a home in Mexico, and an office in New York.

Many have tried to plumb the depth of his silence in his hermitage which sits on the hills of Annaya, a small village 40 kilometers north of Beirut. Many pilgrims from around the world have come to the Monastery of Saint Maron hoping to uncover the secrets of the path to Divine perfection. Many Lebanese who have migrated to all the corners of the world carried with them a bit of incense and holy oil, as well as a picture to always remind them of the greatest and holiest man this small country has produced. Many who are still rooted in Lebanon, who are entrusted with its history and heritage of holiness and truth, come to him to reignite the flame of their faith in God and country. For all these people, this simple book was written as a way to introduce our children and youth, wherever they may be, to the spirituality of Saint Sharbel and to a figure of Lebanon’s spiritual heritage and mission of faith.

The Family of Saint Sharbel has endeavored to produce this book based on its vocation, inspired by Sharbel’s spirituality, of radically living the Gospel in the heart of the parish and society. Our team has continuously worked for three years to produce this book: they collected information, wrote the script, drew the illustrations, did the proofreading and edits, and translated the book to multiple languages. They all worked joyfully to spread the Good News, scatter the fragrance of holiness, and sow the seeds of faith, hope, and love.
